NeuenkirchenWind installs first Nordex N133 in repowering project

WP Neuenkirchen - Christmas came early

As the general contractor, Projekt GmbH is responsible for the approval process, construction and commissioning.

The local Küver family, together with the neighbouring families, has agreed on the subsequent use contracts for the repowering of the old AN BONUS 1 MW/54 turbines. Initially, three turbines were dismantled at the wind farm, and applications for further repowering in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) are currently being processed by the district of Cuxhaven for the three turbines that are still in operation.

The joint municipality of Land Hadeln is of the opinion that no exclusion effect can be derived from the designation of special areas for wind energy use adopted in 1999 as part of the 14th amendment to the land use plan of the joint municipality of Hadeln. This legal opinion was recently strengthened by a council resolution on December 3, 2024 to "give wind turbine operators legal clarity regarding the planning of further projects".

The German Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) awarded the project with a nominal capacity of 4.8 MW and an expected average annual energy yield of 13,000 MWh as part of the "Onshore wind energy" tender on August 1, 2023.

Project manager Martin Jongebloed is pleased that a suitable weather window without crane downtimes opened up at the stormy end of the year to complete the project on site. "Now NORDEX is carrying out the interior work and commissioning within the contractually agreed time frame, and then the customer will also be happy," says Martin Jongebloed.

"We are very pleased that this project could also be realized as planned and wish all customers and business partners a Merry Christmas in these grey days and times," said Neela and Heike Kröger and Ubbo de Witt, managing partners.
